Synopsis

Description: Charging voltage too high too long
Power loss light: On
Limp-in mode: None

Possible Causes

Bad voltage regulator circuit - See Diagnosing Your Charging System

Diagnostic Method

Trigger Parameters

- Voltage sense input 1V above target voltage for 20 seconds

Results If Component Fails

The power loss light is turned on and a fault code 46 is stored. The power loss light will turn off again if the voltage drops below 1V of the target voltage, but the fault code will remain.
